Privacy & Data

Simple data. Clear purpose.

NamReady is still early. We've deliberately kept what we ask for to the minimum a readiness check actually needs, and this page explains, plainly, what happens with it.

What NamReady collects

When you use the readiness check, NamReady collects:

What NamReady does not ask for

The readiness check does not ask for your ID number, passport number, bank details, passwords, or exact home address. Please don't type these into the chat either, even if it feels natural while explaining your situation, none of it is needed for a readiness check.

How your conversation is used

Your messages are sent to an AI service to generate the assistant's replies. Unlike some other NamReady prototypes, this readiness check does deliberately save your conversation, along with your name, business, and contact details, into a private record NamReady's team can access, so we can follow up with you and improve the tool.

Who sees your information

Right now, only NamReady's own team sees what you enter. Not NIFA, not any bank, not any other organisation, even where NamReady is being piloted alongside a support programme. If that ever changes, if a partner organisation would genuinely benefit from seeing your results, that access would be set up properly and permissioned, with your agreement asked for directly, not something that happens automatically or without you knowing.

Why we collect this

To reply to you, to follow up if you'd like more help, and to improve the readiness check itself. It is never used to approve or decline funding, and it doesn't replace a lender's, funder's, or programme's own decision-making.

Where this stands: NamReady is still early. Before it's used at any real scale, alongside a funding programme or institution, it will need a fuller privacy and data-handling review appropriate to that setting. This page will be updated as that happens.
